The New Long Arm Of The Law Is The Bill
"SELL THE SIZZLE NOT THE STEAK". That is an old sales technique that I learned in my many years of door to door selling beginning with Smith Corona copiers in 1973. Millions of car buyers never ask about the 24 valve engine or the McPherson Strut shocks but talk to them about the heated mirrors or the built in satellite radio or climate control and they take out their wallet and the sale is closed. That is why many Americans bought in to this Bill which will be another high level experiment only this time our health is at stake. The "Sizzle" in the Bill that sounded so sweet was the 26 year old kid clause, pre-existing conditions and job changing. How many of these good people were aware of the Caterpillar letter which warned of losing $100,000.000 off the bottom line or Walgreen's not filling Medicaid prescriptions. What about the mass exodus of doctors who will be shortchanged. To the best of my knowledge, a doctor does not have to accept any insurance and can demand payment immediately. What will happen to our medicines, will we have to accept substitutes. Nancy Pelosi is a multi millionaire and owns a wine vineyard. She  is the landed gentry. Just the person I want to be optimistic about my future. I would have rather brought back Dr. Spock to handle the whole thing or possibly Dr. Joyce Brothers. The American people took too much of a quick look  at the "Sizzle", did not investigate the  repercussions and Congress was taken to the woodshed pretty bad. That is why we now have in our possession the Bill that most of us who knew the score did not want at any time.

The Long Arm Of The Law Will Be The New Bill
I became a direct door to door salesman in 1973 dragging a copier through the streets and up into the buildings of Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn representing a good old company named Smith Corona. I later studied and became a Licensed Real Estate Broker. I sold security services and products and worked in network television and radio for a few years as I earned a degree in journalism, public relations and news broadcasting. There was a sales technique that I relate to the Democrats moving this bill past most Americans and particularly those under 40. This was an old sales law, SELL THE SIZZLE, NOT THE STEAK. Millions of car buyers do not care about a 24   valve engine but they take out their wallet when the salesperson tells them about the built in satellite radio or the heated mirrors. Bells and whistles. The American people focused on the child at 26 provision, pre-existing conditions and job changing. There are very few jobs anyway and if someone has a pre-existing condition that is a nervous disorder he still will not be able to afford his family the security of a life insurance policy. That individual now recovered cannot be denied a job for that reason but if he dies young of natural causes his pre-existing condition may cause is wife and family to be thrown into the street. This bill
